Mortgage This Privacy Notice describes the privacy practices of Cornerstone Home Mortgage Corp. d/b/a MHi Mortgage, a subsidiary of Mercedes Homes Inc.

Collection of Information:

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we collect from you, on forms, from our affiliates, by telephone, fax or via the Internet. Examples of this type of information include your name, address, social security number, income, assets and other financial information.
  • Information from credit reporting agencies, such as information relating to your creditworthiness, your credit scores and credit usage.
  • Information from third parties to verify information you have given us.

Information Sharing Among our Affiliated Companies:

MHi Mortgage is a subsidiary of Mercedes Homes Inc. Mercedes Homes Inc. is the parent company of a group of companies which include MHi Mortgage and BDR Title. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we are permitted to share your name, address and facts about your transactions and experiences with us among our affiliated companies. 

That information is referred to as 'transaction information'. Unless you request otherwise, we may also share all of the other information we collect among our affiliated companies. You have the right to ensure that other information is not shared with our affiliates by using the OPT-OUT form. If you don't want us to share this information with our affiliates, check the appropriate box, fill in the requested information and return the form to the address provided.

Uses of Shared Information:

We may share all the information that we collect, as described above, for the following purposes:

  • To provide you with the products and services you have requested.
  • To third parties that perform services for us in processing your transaction or other services on our behalf, and otherwise as permitted by law.
  • To comply with reporting and other legal requirements
  • To otherwise conduct business.

We may also disclose information about you to third parties with your consent or at your direction. We do not disclose information about customers to third parties for marketing purposes.

The term 'you' refers to our individual customers who obtain financial products or services from us. The term 'third party' refers to any entity that is not an affiliate of MHi Mortgage. This notice may not reflect the privacy policies of any third party involved in the origination of your mortgage loan.

We want you to be comfortable with how we use the information we collect about you. If you prefer that we not share this information with third parties so they can market their products or services to you, or that certain information not be shared with our affiliates, please complete and return the form included with this notice. Be aware that returning this form means there will be times when you won't receive news about special offers from third parties for products and services that may be of interest to you.
